Obituary of Barbara Lee Hedberg

Barbara Lee "Babs" (nee Schmalz) Hedberg, age 75 born October 12, 1940. went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 29, 2016, after a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
She was the beloved wife of 53 years to Roy E. Hedberg, loving mother to Roy I Hedberg, Randy Hedberg, Rhonda Hedberg, Robert Hedberg and Robyn Hedberg. Also special "Barbie" to Ashley Richardson.
Proud grandmother to Rachel, Brittany, RJ, Dustin, Allisha, Crystal (Thomas), Brandi (Corey) and Briana.
Devoted Great Grandmother to Caidance, Harper, Holdyn, Dreyden, Anabelle, Liam and three little blessings on the way (Chloe, Kember & a surprise).
Also survived by sisters Lois (Dick) Wainscott and Dotti DiBattista, brother Charlie Schmalz, sisters-in-law Judy Schmalz and Dolores Smith. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear family and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents Lawrence "Whitey" and Dorothy (nee Love) Schmalz, brothers Larry and Butch Schmalz, and sisters-in-law Diana and Barb Schmalz.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, always putting others before herself. She had the most generous heart and touched many lives with her presence. She had a strong will to live and her family was very proud of her. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and being surrounded by all of her grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Sunday, Valentine's Day, February 14, 2016 @ 2:00 pm at 8349 US Hwy 22 & 3, Morrow, OH 45152.
