Obituary of Frederick Ross Knodle

Dr. Frederick Ross Knodle, Jr. Dr. Fred Knodle (1924-2017), beloved husband of Betty Lou Knodle for 70 years, devoted father of Fred R. III, William, Kathleen (Thomas) Tepe, Christine Seidl (Andrew Waterman), Robert (Anne) Knodle, and Suzanne (Steve) Kappen; cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on January 13, 2017. Dr. Knodle practiced podiatry in Cincinnati for 38 years. He served as a medic in the 11th Airborne Division during WW II, was an avid golfer and long-time member of the Miami View Golf Club, and was actively engaged at Twin Towers Retirement Community in retirement. He was preceded in death by his mother, Casimir Dwyer Knodle, and father, Frederick Ross Knodle Sr. of Washington, PA, sister Patricia Weber, and brothers, Richard and Robert Knodle. Survived by his younger brother William (Polly) Knodle of Vero Beach, FL and Marian (Robert) Brebrick of Thiensvile, WI. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Boniface Church, 1750 Chase Ave., Cincinnati, 45223, January 19, 2017 at 10 am; preceded by visitation at 9 am, at the church.
