Obituary of Jeffrey Derrow

Jeffrey Warren Derrow of Garrettsville, Ohio, passed away December 20, 2011 as the result of a tragic car accident in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born May 21, 1949 in Niagara Falls, New York to Warren Weldon and Nancy Joyce (Clemenson) Derrow, both of whom predeceased him. Jeff was the loving father of Morgen and Clinton (Burton, OH); grandfather of Seth; brother of Jackie Estes (Staunton, VA) and Sherry Groves (Raleigh, NC); longtime companion of Bonnie Gray and dear friend to her daughter Jennifer. Jeff was raised in Ft Wayne, IN and Falls Church, VA where he attended Falls Church High and George Washington University. He spent his professional life as a Food Service Designer, most recently employed by SS Kemp in Cleveland, OH. Jeff was an award winning photographer, an avid outdoors man, animal lover, expert collector of memorabilia and a talented cook. His friends, family and business acquaintances recall his great kindness and generosity of spirit. He enjoyed everyone's company and never spoke unkindly of anyone or anything. His respect for his friends and clients was always evident. He was a giving father with high hopes for his children and always there to lean on in times of need. The compassion he had for others was his most memorable trait. In his time here, Jeff made a friend of nearly everyone he ever met. He was adventurous, driven and kindhearted. Nobody could ask for a better father. He was loved and will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Valley Save A Pet, PO Box 39221, Solon, Ohio 44139 or National Park Conservation Assn, 777-6th St NW, Suite 700, Washington DC, 20001
